
The hill of Changu Narayan is famous for its 4th century temple of Changu Narayan. This beautiful temple is situated at a distance of about 25 km east of Kathmandu at an elevation of about 1600m, this temple is greatly revered by the Hindus. It was constructed in the 323 AD by King Hari Dutta and is popularly believed to be the oldest temple in the Kathmandu Valley.
Day 1: Kathmandu
Our representative shall pick you up and transfer you to your hotel after your arrival in Kathmandu. A briefing shall be given to you by your tour leader.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
Today you will begin with a half-day sightseeing tour of the Pashupatinath Temple which is considered to be the holiest temple for the Nepalese. It is situated on the banks of the Bagmati River, one of the tributaries of the Holy Ganges. You will also visit the Bouddha Nath and Swayambhunath Stupas, revered by both the Buddhists and the Hindus alike. The sightseeing will continue till evening. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Kathmandu - Changu Narayan
Today, after breakfast, you will be driven to the temple of Changu Narayan. We will halt overnight at a camp.
Day 4: Changu Narayan – Nagarkot
From Changu Narayan, you will begin your trek to Nagarkot. It is a gentle uphill walk which will pass through pine forests. Towards the end of the hike, the climb is a little steep. After3-4 hours of steady walking, you will reach Nagarkot. You will be transferred to a hotel at Nagarkot for overnight stay.
Day 5: Nagarkot-Kathmandu
Today you will be driven back to Kathmandu. On the way, you can stop at the medieval town of Bhaktapur for some sightseeing. You will reach Kathmandu late in the evening.
Day 6: Departure
In the morning, you will depart for your onward destination.
