This trek is to be considered as an alternative trek to the traditional Everest Base Camp trek that offers magnificent view of the mountain peaks and the Ngozumpa Glacier- the largest in the Nepal Himalayas. About two day walk from Gorak Shep, which lies in the next valley to the west. Several brilliant blue lakes, dammed up by the glacier’s lateral moraine, dot the west side of the valley above and below Gokyo. The overlook at Gokyo is the high point of the visit.

Itinerary
Day 01 Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, met by our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 02 Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley. Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 03 Drive to Airport and 30 minutes flight to Lukla(2804 mtrs.) and trek to Phakding (2610 mtrs.). Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 04 Trek to Namche Bazar (3535 mtrs.). Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 05 Namche Bazar - Acclimatization day. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 06 Trek to Phorste Drengka (3675m). Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D. .
Day 07 Trek to Machherma (4470m). Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 08 Trek to Gokyo (4790m). Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 09 Early in the morning we climb up to the top of Gokyo Ri (5483m) ample rewards to one attempts this trip. There are stunning views of the supper Gokyo valley, the massive Ngozumpa Glacier and an incredible panoramic view of the whole Khumbu Himalayas, such as giants as Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu (8481m), Cho-Oyu (8153m) and Gychung Kang (7922m) can be seen. Those who explore the glacier and Gokyo peak are rewarded. This day we have for acclimatization and after noon back to the camp. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 10 Day trip to 4th Lake (4843m) & 5th lake - 4998m (north of Gokyo Valley), and back to Gokyo Lake. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 11 Trek back to Dole. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 12 Trek to Khumjung village, big settlement of Sherpa people. B.L.D.
Day 13 Trek back to Phakding. B.L.D.
Day 14 Trek back to Lukla. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.
Day 15 Morning flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla. Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 16 Leisure day in Kathmandu.
Day 17 Transfer to Airport for your home departure.
