
This trip will encompass important cultural destinations of Nepal, namely, Kathmandu and Lumbini. In between, you will also glimpse the natural heritage of Nepal at Chitwan.
In Kathmandu Valley, you will visit places which were and still are the center of Newari culture. Alleys full of old Newari architecture built even before the unification of Nepal still stands as it was constructed all those years ago. You will also visit the Buddhist Stupa of Bouddhanath, which is considered to be the largest in the world. The next step will enable you to join the elephant safari in the jungle of Chitwan. This is an experience which is bound to be memorable and you will take back fond memories with you as you will get to see the last of One Horn Rhinos walking around in the jungle freely without the fear of poachers. You will also visit Lumbini which is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Lastly, the panoramic view of the Himalayan range from the retreat at Dhulikhel will add meaning to your trip. You will end your trip in Kathmandu where you can pick items from the vendors which you might probably not find anywhere in the world.
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu
You will be received by our representative at the airport and transferred to your hotel. (D)
Day 02: Kathmandu
After breakfast you will leave your hotel to visit The Kathmandu Durbar Square. Then you move on to visit Pashupatinath which considered as one of the holiest temples of Nepal. After that you will visit the Boudhanath Stupa which has a different ambience altogether with hundreds of colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind, sending prayers to the heavens. It is also considered to be the largest Buddhist Stupa in the world .The last sightseeing of the day will be the ancient kingdom of Bhaktapur, inhabited by the local indigenous Newars. You will then return to your hotel. (BLD)
Day 03: Kathmandu
Today you will visit Swayambhunath; it is a Buddhist monastery located on a hillock providing pilgrims and visitors alike a panoramic view of Kathmandu valley. You will then visit Patan which is also called Lalitpur. Here you can see ancient Newari architecture still intact. The architecture of numerous temples and the buildings in narrow alleys give you an insight to the way the people lived here in the ancient times. Patan also provides you with fine examples of Newari food. Then you return to the hotel for the night. (BLD)
Day 04: Chitwan
After Breakfast, a six-hour drive will take you to Royal Chitwan National Park. Here, you will meet the Jungle guide and discuss your programme at the National Park. You will retire at a lodge in the Park. (BLD)
Day 05: Chitwan National Park
After breakfast you will experience Elephant Safari through the National Park, it is an excellent means of game viewing. You will also go for a canoe ride and a jungle walk later in the day.
In the evening a cultural dance will be organized which will be performed by the local tribal people, the Tharus. (BLD)
Day 06: Lumbini
You will go for a Bird Watching tour early morning. You will then drive to Lumbini after breakfast. Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. It is also a destination for pilgrims. You will be checked into your hotel for rest. (BLD)
Day 07: Lumbini
The entire day is reserved for Lumbini tour. The excursion includes a visit to the sacred place where Princess Maya Devi gave birth to Lord Buddha. Your tour will take you to different monasteries in Lumbini. You will return to your hotel in the evening. (BLD)
Day 08: Dhulikhel
After breakfast you will fly to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, you will be driven to Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel is a beautiful town where you will get to see a breathtaking view of the Himalayan Mountains. The view of the mountain range from this place is a different experience altogether. You will spend the night in a hotel here in Dhulikhel. (BLD)
Day 09: Kathmandu
You will wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise. The beauty is indescribable as you watch the sun ascending into the sky from the back of the mountains. In the Afternoon, you will be driven back to Kathmandu and checked into your hotel. (BLD)
Day 10: Kathmandu
Today you will have the day for yourself to walk in the streets and pick up souvenirs as a memento of your trip to Kathmandu. There are various emporiums and local shops where you can purchase curio goods which you will probably never get to see back home. (BLD)
Day 11: Depart Kathmandu
Today you will be transferred to the airport by our representative for your flight to your next destination. (B, L-depending on the flight timing)
Airport transfers, all transport, accommodation, National Park fees, Peregrine leader, guides on trek, porterage on trek, personal trek equipment (sleeping bag, duvet jacket, sleeping sheet and kit bag) and specialized medical kit.
