This trip will encompass important cultural destinations of Nepal, namely, Kathmandu and Lumbini. In between, you will also glimpse the natural heritage of Nepal at Chitwan. In Kathmandu Valley, you will visit places which are still the center of Newari culture. Alleys full of old Newari architecture built even before the unification of Nepal still stands as it was constructed all those years ago. You will also visit the Buddhist Stupa of Bouddhanath, which is considered to be the largest in the world. The next step will enable you to join the elephant safari in the jungle of Chitwan. This is an experience which is bound to be memorable and you will take back fond memories with you as you will get to see the last of One Horn Rhinos walking around in the jungle freely without the fear of poachers. You will also visit Lumbini which is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Lastly, the panoramic view of the Himalayan range from the retreat at Dhulikhel will add meaning to your trip. You will end your trip in Kathmandu
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu
In Kathmandu, you will be received at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Then briefing about your whole program by our tour leader or representative.
Day 02: Kathmandu
In the morning, there is an option of going for a mountain flight. This is one of the best ways to see the snowcapped peaks of the Himalayan range. It is also one of the closest views of the mountains that you can get without having to go for a trek. The flight is operated at a time period between 6:30 am to 9:30 am only.
In the afternoon, you will take a guided full day tour of the city of Kathmandu. A visit to the Boudhanath Stupa is a must. The Buddhist site belongs to the Vajrayana sect of Buddhism but is revered by all. After Boudhanath, we head to the Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath. Pashupati simple means “Lord of the Beasts”. This temple is considered the holiest of all temples in Nepal and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Pashupati Nath is Shiva in good mood. Last rites are performed on the premises of this temple and from afar you can even see a Hindu last-rites being performed. Swayambhunath is the most ancient and enigmatic of the Valley’s holy shrines the golden-spired stupa of Swayambhunath tops a wooded hillock. Records of its history date as far as the 5th century, but its origins are believed to be older. Then we head to the Kathmandu Durbar Square. Kathmandu Durbar Square is the number one tourist attraction swarms with life. Though a few of the square’s 50-plus monuments date from the 12th century, most are from the time of the Malla Kings. Probably the most famous building here is the Kumari Bahal, a building richly decorated with beautiful woodcarvings, which is home to the Royal Kumari, the Living Goddess, a manifestation of the great goddess Durga.
Day 03: Kathmandu
Today you will visit the ancient city of Patan. The city of Patan is encircled by 4 Stupas built by emperor Ashoka of India about 2,250 years ago. The main attraction of Patan is its Durbar Square. The square holds many temples and a giant palace which has been converted into a museum.( World heritage Sites).
In the afternoon, you will be Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a perfect place to experience the glory days of the kingdom of Bhaktapur. The entrance to the Durbar Square is through a golden gate which is decorated by carvings dedicated to various Hindu Gods. Bhaktapur has myriad medieval monuments like the Nyatapola, which is a five storey temple.
Day 04: Chitwan
After Breakfast, a six-hour drive will take you to Royal Chitwan National Park. Here, you will meet the Jungle guide and discuss your programme at the National Park. You will retire at a lodge in the Park.
Day 05: Chitwan National Park
After breakfast you will experience Elephant Safari through the National Park, it is an excellent means of game viewing. You will also go for a canoe ride and a jungle walk later in the day. In the evening a cultural dance will be organized which will be performed by the local tribal people, the Tharus.
Day 06: Lumbini
You will go for a Bird Watching tour early morning. You will then drive to Lumbini after breakfast. Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. It is also a destination for pilgrims. You will be checked into your hotel for rest.
Day 07: Lumbini
The entire day is reserved for Lumbini tour. The excursion includes a visit to the sacred place where Princess Maya Devi gave birth to Lord Buddha. Your tour will take you to different monasteries in Lumbini. You will return to your hotel in the evening.
Day 08: Dhulikhel
After breakfast you will fly to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, you will be driven to Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel is a beautiful town where you will get to see a breathtaking view of the Himalayan Mountains. The view of the mountain range from this place is a different experience altogether. You will spend the night in a hotel here in Dhulikhel.
Day 09: Kathmandu
You will wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise. The beauty is indescribable as you watch the sun ascending into the sky from the back of the mountains. In the Afternoon, you will be drive back to Kathmandu and checked into your hotel.
Day 10: Kathmandu
Today you will have the day for yourself to walk in the streets and pick up souvenirs as a memento of your trip to Kathmandu. There are various emporiums and local shops where you can purchase curio goods which you will probably never get to see back home.
Day 11: Depart Kathmandu
Today you will be transfer to the airport by our representative for your flight to your next destination
