| Day 01 |
Kathmandu -Lhasa
Flight to Lhasa from Kathmandu International Airport. The flight is breathtakingly spectacular, flying over the Himalayan range onto the Tibetan plateau. Arrive at Gongor airport and met by representatives and then driven to Tsetang. Relax day in hotel as a measure against high altitude sickness. |
| Day 02 |
Lhasa
Visit Sightseeing places of Potala Palace (the former palace of the Dalai Lama), Norbulinkha (the summer residence of Dalai Lama) and Sera Monastery. |
| Day 03 |
Lhasa
Visit Sightseeing places of Drepung Monastery, Ramoche and Jokhang temple, Barkhor Bazaar which circumambulates the Jokhang Temple and offers excellent opportunities for shopping. |
| Day 04 |
Lhasa-Gyantse
Drive to Gyantse the historically important town on the road to Xegar and Nepal passes over Yamdrok Tso Lake set against the backdrop of snow-covered mountain peaks. After reaching Gyantse, check into the Gyantse Hotel then visit the 3 landmarks Panchen Monastery, Kumbum Stupa; architects housing 100.00 Buddha and other statues, and the Gyantse Fort. |
| Day 05 |
Gyantse-Shigatse
While journey to Shigatse we first take a short diversion to see Shalu Monastery and then arrive in Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet and the seat of the Panchen Lamas. We begin our sight-seeing tour of Tashilumpo |
| Day 06 |
Shigatse-Xegar
On the way from Shigatse is the Sakya Monastery. We also meet the highest point of the entire overland journey, Lakpa La pass (5220 m.) and extensive views of the northern faces of the world's highest peaks. |
| Day 07 |
Xegar - Zhangmu
Drive over the high Lalung La pass (5050 m.) and pass from the arid Tibetan plateau to the greenery of the sub-Himalayan region - Zhangmu at the Nepal border and spend a night. |
| Day 08 |
Zhangmu-Kathmandu
Cross the international border into Nepal at Kodari. Our representative meet you and drive you back to Kathmandu. |
